Intae Kim has seen this workd of sand and wind and light with remarkable clarity. He contemplates the dunes, shows their three dimensions, and then goes beyond into a world that is better described with music than with words.
Singing dunes, indeed. Black rolls into white as sand curls from shadow into sunlight. His lines are clean, tracing a ridge top with the heightened awareness of fingertips drawn lightly across your skin. Of course these pictures are sensual.
They gather strength from softness. How could the curves not resonate with memories born far beyond Death Valley?
